Floor-Leveling Basics

Tile spacing and alignment


Practice using spacers, measuring tools and alignment checks to help create consistent grout lines and a balanced floor layout. Learn how to plan your starting point, maintain even spacing and make adjustments as you work across a larger tiled area.

Working with larger tiles

Explore practical techniques for handling and placing larger floor tiles safely. Learn how to apply adhesive evenly, understand when back-buttering may be helpful and use suitable tools, such as suction cups, to support careful positioning.

Grouting and sealing

Learn how to apply grout evenly, clean tile surfaces and complete the final finishing touches. Explore different grout options and understand when sealing may be appropriate to help protect your tiled floor from moisture and everyday wear.
